Tirsa is the programme director on the CoFounders Retreat team. She’s the one who talks to the quietest person in the room and brings them out of their shell. This is her story. 

When I was younger, I’ve never really had a clear career path or passion. As much as it displeased me, I also appreciated the freedom of not having a set plan for my future self.

I graduated with a masters degree in Imagineering, learnt lots during my studies, tried different jobs and directions, and had a really good time over the years. But I never found my purpose along the way, nor the fulfilment I was looking for.

My dream had always been to travel the world, so I packed my bags and took off.

In just over a year I made my way around the globe, on a quest of leaving the beaten track, being as open minded as I could and getting real life experiences that would help me find my purpose. I absolutely loved exploring new places, meeting so many people, experiencing different cultures and values, expanding my world view and putting my daily life into perspective.

However, the more I broadened my horizon, the harder it became to find my focus.

Eager to get more focused, I joined a programme that connected me to the most amazing people from all around the world. It was incredible to experience the way some of us challenged, supported, inspired and stimulated each other within the group.

That experience made me realise that my biggest passion is to make other people shine – to help them become the best version of themselves.

It also got me thinking about how putting motivated, likeminded individuals with diverse qualities in the right context could generate a worth much greater than the sum of the parts.

If a small group of people could bring out so much goodness in each other by chance, how much more would we be able to achieve together in a focused environment specifically designed to foster collaboration and entrepreneurship?

That is why I am so excited to be part of the CoFounders Retreat. It is not only about enabling amazing, driven individuals to not only go after their purpose, but also about creating the right environment that gives them that extra push to actually start living it.
